Local Restaurants Route

We at Dalmatian Destinations believe that eating fresh well produced local food should be an intrinsic part of your holiday experience to Croatia, we have highlighted below some of the restaurants we rate for their ambience, charm and local culinary flair. 

These restaurants enable clients to moor their boats in front of the restaurants (except Dubrovnik), all with minimal fuss.  They are also all family run with the cooking usually done by a family member and the ingredients normally grown in the owner�s garden.The d�cor may not be �luxurious� and may in some cases even look scruffy but don�t panic; judge the place for its food and atmosphere.

Dubrovnik �Wanda�, located in the Old Town, serves Mediterranean Cuisine � try seafood risotto or linguine with clams. Mali Zaton near Dubrovnik, �Gverovic Orsan� � serves the best black risotto in the Southern Adriatic and has an excellent location with moorings directly in front. 
 
Lopud Island, �Kod Percina�, run by Zdravko Percin who carries on the family tradition.  He uses his own recipes.  Moor your boat stern to restaurant. Mljet, Pomena, �Nine�, serves a combination of seafood and Mljet game (boar). Moor your boat stern to restaurant.

Lastovo, Zaklopatica, �Triton� run by Nadja and Tonci Gango. Tonci is the most knowledgeable person to talk to about the island and its history.  His favourite ingredient is capers and his best dish is a cuttlefish risotto.  Located in a charming bay you can moor stern to or row 25 meters to lunch. Vis, 'Val�, owned and run by the lovely and charming Luce (see her picture on right). Eat her delicious seafood salad, her fish soup that you will want more of before finishing or her freshest of fresh fish.  

Milna, Brac, �Lucica� run by the Lemesic family. Seasonal vegetables are prepared in an organic way with different fish specialities.  Moor in front of the restaurant.
