The Country

Croatia is the land of a thousand islands, some with a bustling cosmopolitan town, many deserted and the unexpected single taverna adding to the charm of the unexpected. The Croatian coast offers the best sailing experience in Europe.

There are over a thousand islands, to be more precise, 1,185, along 1,775 kilometers of the Croatian Coast. Many of them are inhabited, some ecologically clean with no traffic, some isolated like Lastovo or Vis, some made of sand like Susak, but all of exceptional beauty.

Home to one of Europe’s last unspoilt coastlines, the only way to truly appreciate the Croatian Coast is from the sea. An archipelago of hidden coves, Roman ruins, medieval villages, ancient forests and National Parks are just few examples of what you will witness while sailing this part of the Mediterranean. The best winds for smooth sailing are here in the Croatian waters with the Adriatic Sea being the cleanest in Europe.

Croatia will hold a referendum in January 2012 and likely join the EU in 2013.
